Apparently, 19 wasn’t enough. Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar, stars of the TLC television show "19 Kids and Counting" are, indeed, still counting. The coupled announced recently that Michelle is, indeed, pregnant with what would be the couple’s 20th child. Notes the 45-year-old Michelle, "We are so excited. I feel good. I am past the sickness stage now." The couple’s travails have been highlighted on the show, and one must certainly wonder if the only way they have the means to support such a large family is the show itself.
Their children range in age from just under 2 years of age to 23. The children, in birth order, are: Joshua, twins Jana and John-David, Jill, Jessa, Jinger, Joseph, Josiah, Joy-Anna, twins Jedidiah and Jeremiah, Jason, James, Justin, Jackson, Johanna, Jennifer, Jordyn and Josie. Asked about the emergency surrounding the birth of their youngest, Josie, Michelle notes, "It is a miracle. Josie is the most energetic, busy little almost-2-year-old. She is short, and yet she can keep up with the big girls and she thinks she is just as big as they are. We are amazed at what she can do."
Asked about his wife’s health, and whether so many pregnancies are taking a toll, Jim Bob notes, "Michelle is probably in better health now than she was 10 years ago. She has been getting on an elliptical for about an hour a day and is very careful of what she eats." Asked about the possibility of preeclampsia, which Michelle suffered during a previous pregnancy, Jim Bob says, "If we had lived by fear after Michelle had preeclampsia after her second delivery, we would have missed out on all our wonderful blessings," he says. "So many of her pregnancies have gone extremely well."
