Amy Adams is Striving for the Perfect Balance in Life

Amy Adams is now an actress, a fiancée and a mother. Like many who have gone before her, she is trying to strike the perfect balance between the rigorous demands that are placed on her in her various roles – in life and at work. Notes Adams in a recent interview with InStyle, "I have to trust that I can prioritize my family and myself while still finding the energy and focus for my work. And I believe I can. I know I can." The 37-year-old Adams has most recently starred in The Muppets, and continues to work hard both at home and in the movies.

Adams noted that one of the most important things she’s doing is not sweating the small stuff, including the extra baby weight that she’s not yet dropped after giving birth to her now 18-month-old daughter, Aviana Olea. Notes Adams, "I read about these actresses who get on the stationary bike two weeks after giving birth and I’m like, ‘What? Where did you push your baby out of’? Since having Aviana, I have a muffin top, and that’s okay right now."

Adams also admits that, for the most part, she more often resembles a harried mom than a movie star. Says Adams, "I’m definitely not one of those women who make it look easy. I’m always running late. And, look, there’s guacamole in my purse!" Adams literally revealed that there was guacamole in her purse during the interview, but didn’t shed any light on how it got there.
